NEWS UPDATE!

1. STRUCTURAL ALTERATIONS
Our landlords, Newcastle Community Asset Trust, are currently making structural alterations to the library to provide access to a dedicated computer room. It has been necessary to close the library for a few days to undertake this work and we apologise for any inconvenience caused during this period.
2. HOME DELIVERY SERVICE FOR THE ELDERLY OR INFIRMĀ
A pilot scheme commences during October 2019 following our successful bid for funding to set up a home delivery service for people in our area who might have difficulties in getting to the library as demonstrated in our project video.
THANK YOU!
3. FAMILY HISTORY USER GROUP
Our monthly Family History User Group meets each month on Wednesday afternoons from 2-4 p.m. The group explore a different topic each month, and take time to explore their family history, with free access to genealogy software, books and magazines. Our next session takes place on WEDNESDAY 23RD OCTOBER when we will explore PARISH RECORDS, led by Joyce Jackman, Chair of Northumberland & Durham Family History Society.
Why not pop in and meet others with a similar interest to help you learn more about unlocking your family’s past over a cup of tea or coffee. Experienced volunteers will be on hand to help.
